The illustrations put together in this volume are from the plates created by Milo Manara for "Quarantasei", a comic strip story written in collaboration with Valentino Rossi. This Art Book was produced with aim of reproducing the unmistakable work of the Author in all its original splendour, just as it was created, before the final colouring of the pages. For this work, Milo Manara used a mixed technique based on Indian ink and coloured pencils. The plates reproduced here do not follow the path of the comic strip story, offering instead a unique look at the work before it assumes its final form, a sort of behind-the-scenes review of the particulars of faces, looks, expressions, movements and frozen actions, all from a unique hand. |
